Someone saved my life tonight…

I used to ride the Light Rail to university every day, and one day I was really sleepy and almost walked into the train which was starting to move away. At that moment, a kind soul put out an arm and prevented me from doing so. I kinda swayed and felt overwhelmed by embarrassment. I should have thanked them and been on my way, but instead I shot the person a dirty look. It was a momentary lack of judgement. Now, I thank that person for saving me from harm. Elton John may have written that song about someone completely different, but I always feel that it applies to my life and that moment. Thank you, Light Rail rider, for saving me from my own stupidity. Oy.
